Unsatisfied with the routine of her corporate career, Avery left her nine-to-five job in 2022 and bought a boat with plans to travel for a year. What was meant to be a sabbatical soon turned into a lifestyle, and she now works, studies, and lives aboard full-time. Drawn to the water, she has found both home and inspiration in the ocean.

Avery considers herself a perpetual student. She holds both undergraduate and master’s degrees in business and is now pursuing graduate studies in marine science, specializing in acoustics. Eager to transition into a field that aligns with her passions, she believes that learning is a lifelong journey and is excited by the many new opportunities ahead.

For as long as she can remember, Avery has been creating. Her love for photography, along with other artistic pursuits like painting, began at an early age. Over time, her art has evolved, but her focus has always remained on the natural world, particularly wildlife. Through her lens, she seeks to bridge art and science, using her work to raise awareness, foster a deeper connection to the environment, and inspire conservation efforts.
